In his book The Man Nobody Knows, Bruce Barton writes the following words: “Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside themselves was superior to circumstance.”
Leaders just seem to have a quality of belief that there is something better than the status quo … something higher than average … something beyond circumstance.
It is this belief that calls to those who follow. The belief manifests itself as personal magnetism.
Barton goes on, “The essential element in personal magnetism is a consuming sincerity – an overwhelming faith in the importance of the work one has to do.”
So here is the question … Do you have an overwhelming faith in the importance of the work you do? Something you believe in that draws others to you.
If not, perhaps you should go back to the drawing board.
There is something that calls to you. It is superior to your circumstances. Identify it, get serious and sincere about it, and watch what happens.
You will become a magnet.
What is the cause that calls the loudest to you?
