Today is the last day of the month. Are you making progress toward your number one goal for the year?

If your first thought is, “What goal?,” you might be in trouble. February starts tomorrow. Do you need to reset?

What would you attempt if you knew you couldn’t fail? Are you afraid to go after it? To put a stake in the ground and declare?

Often times we refuse to set goals because we think they require sacrifice, and they do. Napoleon Hill once said, “Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice.” While his words ring true, the sacrifices are often a sequence of simple steps.

When I think about big goals I like to imagine a staircase, with the top representing the ultimate goal.

If your goal is big enough, you will never jump your way to the top in one big leap. You won’t wish, hope, or dream your way up either.

Goals are achieved one step at a time.

It’s not too late. Why not set a big goal and take a small step? I’m guessing, if you will, by the end of the next month you will be closer to the top. Today is the best day to refocus and go for it!
