One of the traps for every leader is the temptation to chase success. Success is an illusion. More is never enough.

Thomas Merton once wrote, “If you are too obsessed with success, you will forget to live. If you have learned only how to be a success, your life has probably been wasted.”

As you over the next few weeks, don’t forget to live. Look at people, listen to friends, and measure moments, not just numbers.

There is nothing wrong with success, unless it is all you desire.

Don’t forget . . . real success is more about “why” and “who” than it is about “how much.”
