Yesterday I shared a Pat Riley quote with you about motivation. “A champion needs a motivation above and beyond winning.” Well, so does a leader.
For me, my greatest motivation over the past 25 years, outside of my faith, has been my amazing wife, Laura.
In the Bible, Proverbs 31:10 asks, “An excellent wife, who can find?” I have the answer.
The passage goes on to say in verse 11, “The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain.” That pretty much sums it up for me, a life of great gain thanks to an incredible woman.
On this Valentine’s Day, I hope you can say that things are “right” at home and you see your family relationships as a higher motivation than your desire to acquire.
Never forget that your leadership legacy begins at home. Keep things in the RIGHT order and you will be a better leader.
How has your home life affected your leadership? How has your leadership affected your home life?
