Yesterday while running, I overheard a woman talking to her dog.  She said, “Do you want to go see if the library is open, Princess?”

I’m not making this up.  Other than the fact that Reese Witherspoon was no where to be found, I thought I was running through the middle of “Legally Blond 2.”

As leaders it is important to make sure we are communicating in a clear manner.

Often times we speak to our customers using insider language that makes no sense to them.  And then we wonder why they leave us for another product or company.

If you don’t use language that is simple and clear, you might as well be talking to a dog.

Spend some time this week thinking through how you communicate your message.

If there are places where it is complex, recommit to being simple and watch what happens.

Never forget that . . . Simple Sells!
