After reading yesterday’s blog, you might be tempted to think that it is your responsibility to keep everyone in your organization happy and satisfied. It is not.
You would probably be better off if some people left. The truth is, some people will never be satisfied with your leadership. Consequently, they will complain, whine, gossip, and criticize without blinking an eye.
In such cases there is a high probability that it is not you that is the problem. Chances are when they go somewhere else they will not find what they are looking for there either.
I say let them go. In fact, you might even consider inviting them to leave. Allowing them to stay around will only drain you emotionally, sap your resources, and poison your culture.
There are some people who will suck the life out of you. Don’t let that happen. Let them go!
