What are you trying to accomplish? It is a powerful question that helps a leader focus. A similar question, What are we trying to build? is one that helps a team focus. I wrote about it in last week’s emphasis on teams.

This week, I want you to consider another question … How is your team structured? Structure matters. A good structure will enable, not inhibit, you with what you are trying to accomplish. It is like a bridge that helps you cross a gap you would not be able to cross without it.
