A friend of mine held a student event this week. One of the guys who helped him was a musician who led the kids in some songs.
My friend said the guy was not necessarily the most talented guy in the room musically, but he was the most passionate. He had the students fully engaged and the room was buzzing with energy.
As a leader, always choose passion over talent if you want to raise the energy level in your organization.
If you can combine the two, then you have the potential for greatness.
Talent is important, but passion trumps it every time.
