Yesterday was awesome; nothing beats a Snow Day. Thanks to icy roads, I was forced to stay home. The break in the work action gave me the opportunity to give attention to a few things around the house I have been neglecting.
It got me to thinking. What if as a leader you decided to show up in your workplace, on a random day, and declare a snow day for your employees? What would be the thing your team has been neglecting, that would receive some much needed attention?
Chances are you will keep putting off important things until they become urgent. If you want to take production to a new level, perhaps the best thing you can do for your team is to declare a workplace snow day.
