Thanksgiving Day is my favorite day of the year. It happens to be the day I proposed to my bride. ”Thankfully” she said yes.
Leading up to gratitude day, there are so many things that capture my attention and cause a sense of wonder.
English writer, G.K. Chesterton once wrote, “I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought; and
that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”
If you want to exponentially multiply your gratefulness, start with opening your eyes and looking around.
Personally . . .
I am thankful for old books.
I am thankful for the sunrise I saw yesterday morning.
I am thankful for long checkout lines that remind me life is meant to be lived slowly.
I am thankful for cold water after a hard workout.
I am thankful for encouraging comments at the end of a blog.
I am thankful for strawberries on my Cheerios.
I am thankful for my front porch after a long day.
I am thankful for movies that make me cry.
I am thankful for my coworkers who make me want to be a better leader.
I am thankful for my blue sweatshirt that I wear on my day off.
I am thankful for the opportunity to double my wonder.

Randy
How about you . . . What are you thankful for?
repost from 11.16.11
I am thankful for YOU!
Sounds like a kid who needs money 🙂
Thankful for God’s love revealed in my life through my family and friends. His love is all the reward I desire in this life, and of course little Noah, Natalie and Eli’s hugs and smiles too!
Good stuff Coach!
