Last night, like most of you, I joined 113 million (give or take a few) other people in the world and watched Super Bowl XLIX.
Before the game, New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft said something that piqued my interest.
“In business, dynamic tension can create something that can be far greater than the sum of its parts.”
After a season of ups and downs and two tumultuous weeks of suspicion, Kraft’s team stands alone on top of the football world.
As a fan, I find it hard to cheer for the Patriots. But as a leader, I can’t help but appreciate those who embrace the struggle and overcome.
When you look at your life, are you trying to eliminate tension or are you embracing it? If you want to see greater results, lean in … Dynamic tension can create something great.

What did you learn from the Super Bowl?

In my marriage I try to encourage my entrepreneur wife as she goes through the cycle of business development. The dynamic tension that arises when it is not always received as intended forces me to “know my wife” better. Thanks for the blog today, as a leader in my home, I am “leaning” in to learn to Love better.
