Filter

Forget the filter on your coffee maker and you will start your day with a mess. Take it from one who has done it.

A filter seems insignificant until you forget to use one.

Coffee is one thing. Words, on the other hand, take the need for a filter to a much higher level.

As a leader if you forget to filter your words feelings are hurt, emotions spew out, and what was meant to be persuasive becomes abrasive.

My wife has always reminded our kids to,“Watch your words.” Advice that all of us who lead, should heed.

This week, when it comes to your words, don’t forget the filter.

Randy

Great advice. I’m also reminded frequently that it’s not what you say but how you say it that matters. “A gentle answer quiets anger, but a harsh one stirs it up.” Proverbs 15:1
