Herb

The old saying, “Those who drink the water should never forget those who dug the well,” is alive and well in Green Bay.

Packer Nation has more heroes than Marvel Comics. Among them is the legendary, Hall of Fame cornerback, Herb Adderly.

I first saw Herb on one of my football cards when I was a kid. A card I still have today. On Saturday I had the chance to meet Herb in person. He was being honored at Lambeau over the weekend, along with a couple of his teammates from the 1960s Packer teams.

As you lead today, I’m guessing there is someone who paved the way for you to do what you do.

I challenge you to spend a few minutes today expressing gratitude to one of your heroes. Write a note, send a text, or make a call, and remind them that you are grateful.

i2i,

Randy

Who is someone who paved the way for you to become a leader?

Coach Gravitt,
You will always be “coach” to me. Thank you for teaching me how to lead…through lessons on a basketball court and in a trailer that acted as a classroom. Thank you for modeling for me and hundreds of others what a godly man, husband, and father should look like. Thank you for modeling for me how to be quick to repent. Thank you for believing in me and in who God called me to be. Forever, I will be grateful.

My favorite comment of the year “Hatchet” girl. I will never forget the night you hit the game winner @ Liberty to clinch the region championship. I miss those days!
