How simple is your organization? If you are currently stuck, it might be because you have allowed things to become too complex.
Reflect on this quote by Peter Drucker and ask yourself if this describes your leadership environment . . . “No institution can possibly survive if it needs geniuses or supermen to manage it. It must be organized in such a way as to be able to get along under a leadership composed of average human beings.”
Again, how simple is your organization?
People call Drucker the source of the “Leadership Nile” and he sold a gazillion books for a reason. Namely, because he understood simplicity.
If you are stuck and spinning your wheels, go back and review your mission and strategy, renew your commitment to learning, and make your environment relational.
Simple stuff that will work for any old average human being.

What is one thing you need to do to simplify your life and leadership?
Comments?
Reminds me of the old saying KISS. Keep it simple stupid… (OK it might be best to leave the last S off, unless you are referring to me…)
As I pray and plan for the days ahead I will have to remember to keep it simple…
Thanks,
Jason
Great Jason! Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Micro managers kill any organization – including churches. Dept head leaders will never flourish to their full capacity unless allowed to make a decision w/o being micro-managed. Drucker was not a micro-manager!
Good stuff Alan. Thanks!
