Lambeau

Yesterday I checked one off my bucket list when I had the chance to celebrate my birthday by attending a Packer game at Lambeau Field.

All I can say is AWESOME!

My friend, Dan Webster, and I had the chance to visit Green Bay this weekend where we led a conference for a group of next generation leaders. If you have not had a chance to get a copy of our new book, FINDING YOUR WAY, you can do so by clicking here. The book & journal make great stocking stuffers!

I could not help but get caught up in the history and tradition of the city of Green Bay. And the leadership lessons were plentiful as we walked where Lombardi walked.

This week I will share some of the things I learned. In the mean time, let me leave you with a quote from the great coach.

“The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.”

Be excellent this week!

i2i,

Randy

What is one thing every leader needs to do to achieve excellence?

As a lifelong Packer fan, I will refrain from using terms like envious or jealous. Lombardi preached dedication and hard work. Quality not quantity! He looked for the strengths individuals brought to he field and used them for the betterment of the team!

For a leader:
Accept each failure as a learning experience, pick up the pieces, and move on.
Live life with integrity.
Congrats on knocking an item off your list!

greatness is not determined by all the achievements and victories, but how one handles the adversities and challenges that will come to those pursuing success. Success comes from not standing tall but from picking yourself up when knocked down. Lambeau is the perfect backdrop to ponder this topic… thanks Randy.

Visited Lambeau a couple of years ago after flying into Green Bay for a business trip. I did not get to watch a game, but the tour was awesome, especially getting to go down on the field.

I was surprised to notice Dan Webster in your picture. Dan is such a quality guy. He visits our church in Aurora Illinois on a yearly basis and has spoken several times at the Men’s Breakfast I lead. A real champion for the Lord. Peace
