Not long ago I heard a guy challenge someone who said they were “trying” to make some improvements in their life. The leader said, “You need to stop trying and start doing.”
I was discussing this idea with my friend Stacey, the Acrostic King. A couple of days later, he gave me these two acrostics for T-R-Y & D-O.
People who try . . .
T alk about their challenges
R ationalize their circumstances
Y ield to defeat
People who do . . .
D on’t accept excuses
O vercome with action
Which one best describes you? Try or do?
If you want to make a difference today, stop trying and start doing.

Randy

Yoda inspired the brick CP!
Ouch!
Thanks for the comment Jenny!
Some of the best wisdom all week. Also some from the wise little guy Yoda. He says “do, or do not…there is no try”.
Yoda is the man of the hour. Thanks Luke!
In my business, I have been told I can get an ape to try! Love the movie reference by Chris Patton and Yoda’s “there is not try, Do or Do NOT” ….. thanks for another push much needed!
Yoda is on fire today! Thanks Marlin.
This reminded me of a sermon by Andy Stanley that really shaped my thinking and acting. He said that so many Christians are so busy trying to make a point that they fail to make a difference. So I try to live making a difference with my life which ultimately makes a point so much stronger than words alone.
Great mantra Susan!
There is no try, there is do or do not… I want to be a do…
Me too Jason
