I first heard the phrase, “you leak what you love,” from author, Bob Goff.
Those words have been spinning in my mind since I first read them. They are a good reminder that what is in my heart is ultimately going to come out in my leadership.
High energy in my heart always translates into a high energy day. A positive attitude leads to encouraging words and an optimistic approach. Belief in my team causes me to praise them in public.
The flip side is also true.
Apathy in my heart translates into a lack of effort in my work. Negative attitude = cynical behavior. When I don’t believe in my teammates I can become critical.
There is an old Bible verse that reads, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.” The verse is just as true today as it was when it was written. It basically says, you leak what you love.

Make it your number one goal to fill yourself up and fall in love with Truth, positivity, and excellence.
Because you leak what you love.
